Thank you to everyone who has been sending me comments about my blog.
I am now in Tauranga staying with my cousins. It is on the east coast of New Zealand. There is a mountain here which is famous called Mt Maunganui. It is by the beach and is actually a volcano. Hopefully it won't erupt while we are here.
There are sheep, horses and cows. Yesterday we had round up the cows because we had to take them to another field. The baby calf ran away and we had to chase it.
I got my hat signed by 16 Blues players. The Blues is the Auckland rugby team. I watched them train. Then they had a swim in a pool of ice. I had to put the ice in for them.
Hopefully my mum will put some photos on my blog soon. She just needs to work out how to do it!

Hi Alex
ReplyDeleteHave you been swimming at The Mount yet? You might be able to watch The Blues when they start playing the Super 14 rugby tournament soon. Are you getting tired going to all these different places? And what is your sister doing?
Hello Alex
ReplyDeleteOnly three more days and you will be in Oz with us. Saffi (our whippet)can't wait to meet you and Ben and Brooke will have two new puppies when you visit them. They are cavalier king charles spaniels. Brooke's is brown, black and whilte and Ben's is is brown (or blenheim)and white. Brooke's is called Holly and Ben still isn't sure what name to give him. The weather here is getting hotter. When it gets above 35 degrees celsius we have to be very careful of bush fires. Here in Victoria we have a helicopter called Elvis on loan from California to help with the fire fighting and keep us safe.
We will see you at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport next Monday night.
Love
Nan
Wow, you certainly seem to be having a busy time. Your Dad said that you actually had a practice game with the Blues team! Is this REALLY true????? Love Yaks, Paps and Zoe.
ReplyDeleteHi Alex,
ReplyDeleteIt sure is quiet in Den Haag without you and Esme running around! I feel sorry for those cows and sheep you've been chasing! But I'm glad to hear that you guys are having lots of summer fun. Back home it's a bit colder - and there's plenty of ice for rugby players to swim in. Even though it's nice and sunny, the canals and lakes are all frozen, and people have been ice skating on them. That is the first time it has been cold enough to do that for 13 years. But the good news is that all the rugby fields are frozen, too, which means no-one can play rugby on them. So the tournament this weekend has been cancelled, so you won't miss anything.
I went to find the place in Singapore where I ate snake last time, but it was gone (the shop AND the snake!). So I had a snickers instead, since that sounded close to snake.
Keep looking after Esme and Mum and remember - no fun allowed!!
love, Dad.xxx
Hi again Alex!
ReplyDeleteWe just thought we'd drop you a line for the weekend. We have some news for you...Ms. Kilbane has decided that we need a bit of extra help to stop us yawning during lessons(!). It's called "brain gym" and you have to do all sorts of odd things to music. Did you know that you have 2 "brain buttons" located under your collar bone between your top two ribs? Well don't worry...neither did we!!
It's REALLY freezing here at the moment. It's been 15 below at night! Lots of people are out on the canals skating. It's lovely to see...we bet you'd be joining in if you were here!
We'll write again soon.
Love from 4CK
