Yesterday I went rock-climbing . I made it to the top of 7 rock-climbing walls! I'll add some photos later.
It was really fun and I got a crunchie. Before that I went to the beach and went swimming.
Today it is Marks birthday and we are making a cake for him. Tomorrow I will be training
with the Blues. I will post about it soon.
To all the people how have never been to New Zealand.
New Zealand is 2 islands and I live in the north island. It is very green with lots of green grass and trees and is named after Zeeland which is in the Netherlands.
What is a crunchie, Alex? It sounds like you are having a grand holiday.
ReplyDeleteDid your friends say how well you've grown since you went away to the Netherlands? And did they wonder over your trip from the Lowlands (Nether = Low) to Down Under? Which part of the world is lower, I wonder.
GPa Sarge and I went out birdwatching on the two days before New Year. Mainly, we went to see the birds that have come from countries Up Above to escape the cold of winter and enjoy the sun and the warmth of countries Down Below. Just like you!
Hello Alex. This is Gran'pa Sarge. Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeleteI have read your blogs. They are nicely written and give me a lot of information about what you're doing every day. I like that.
I'm very glad to learn that you are a rock climber, and congratulate you on completing seven climbs in one session. When I was younger I was also a rock climber. I climbed with friends on rock outcrops in the mountains of England and Wales, and later in Switzerland. The longest climb I did was 650 feet (200 meters) on Gillercombe Buttress in the English Lake District.
I learned to climb at a special school called the Outward Bound Mountain School. There is one like it in New Zealand, I think; maybe you would like to go there when you are older.
Right now I'm busy painting for an exhibition in Manila next month with 14 other painters.
Enjoy the holidays. So long for now. G'pa Sarge.
Dear Alex,
ReplyDeleteHello from us & a Happy New Year from the Northern Hemisphere! We're back at school today for the first time & Ms. Kilbane is fondly remebering the peaceful days of her holiday :-). We've all made New Year Resolutions, have you?
We had bags of fun reading your blog...but Ms. Kilbane was wondering when you were going to write in it next ( she is a pain...whoops we can't say anything bad about her on here as our class resolution is to be kind to everyone...her too of course!). Seriously though, we can't wait to hear from you and see some more of your photos.
Keep in touch,
Love from everyone in Y4CK
