last day

I am at the airport waiting to get on the plane to go back to Holland. Nice jokes 4CK!

I like everything about Australia. While I have been in Australia I have seen 22 kangaroos. I saw them at the yarra valley in the hills. Today I caught a baby gecko and I got its tail because it fell off. I found it in my little cousins bedroom. I got a new tshirt with the southern cross on it. The southern cross is 4 stars shaped like a diamond which you can only find in Australia and New Zealand.

I have enjoyed writing this blog. Thank you to everyone who has followed it.

See you on Monday 4CK!

  1. Hi Alex

Australia will miss you (and your Mum and Esme). How is it that you left Melbourne at 5pm; flew for nearly 24 hours (which would make it 5pm in Holland) and arrived at 6.35am! Where did the missing 10 hours and 25 minutes go? Does 4ck know? If so I would like someone to tell me!

  2. Well Gdad, we were pretty stumped by this conundrum until "Eureka!" we realised that your logic was wrong (did you do this to confuse us, we ask? hmmm....). We say that just because it is 5pm in Melbourne does not mean it is 5pm 24 hours later in The Netherlands. WE ALL KNOW YOU'RE WRONG!!(say 4CK wonderclass) because when we've written in Alex's blog we've noticed (mwhahaha) that the time is always ahead in Australia by at least 9 hours. So in actual fact it's to do with time zones not time that has been lost. By the way please remember that we are only 9years old and this is a fairly good explanation if not technically completely accurate ;-).
We've had great fun reading your blog Alex we can't wait to see you again on Monday, we hope you're not jet lagged like Benjamin & Roisin were.

  4. OK 4CK - maybe I was not totally correct but what about this? I notice that the blog says you posted your commenton 22 January 2009 at 5.28AM! What time does school commence in The Hague? Are you really at school that early? I know you are only nine and very bright - but I am 8 times older than you and still can't work it out.
